JOIN US FOR A FUN AND AMAZING CELEBRATION!

Wherever you are you can play your part by wearing denim to support survivors of sexual assault.

We invite you to join us at our Denim Day event as we have a great time to raise awareness and raise funds to continue the fight against sexual assault in Louisiana.

Included with your ticket purchase will be a heavy hor d'oeurves, tea and wine (a cash bar for cocktails and beer will be available), a swag bag, simply amazing door prizes, live music, a "step & repeat," a silent auction with "you can't miss this" items, and a walk on the denim carpet.

An awesome fashion show with locally beloved personalities wearing the painted denim jackets will start at 7:30.

STUDENT TICKETS ARE $15.

Original Painted Denim Jackets

We are ecstatic to have amazing, local Louisiana artists. They have donated their talents to create one-of-a kind denim jackets that will be available only through our silent auction! Each jacket is signed by the artist. Win your favorite, original masterpiece and wear it all year long! Bidding starts MONDAY, April 22 at 8:00 a.m. via "32 Auctions" and ends SATURDAY, April 27 at 12:00N. Artists include Keith "the Cartoonman" Douglas, Danielle Jovic, Heather Barios, and the winning student from Southeastern University !

Maria Boudreaux is self-taught. She hosts sip and paint. She loves using a variety of textures and mediums. Her paintings capture essence of southern gulf charm.

Sharon Elliot-Thomas

Sharon Elliott-Thomas is a Louisiana native, a Visual Artist and a professional photographer.. Elliott studied Fine Arts, Painting and Drawing at Louisiana State University, the University of Southern California, and Los Angeles Valley College. She has shown at the Breakfast Klub in Houston, participated in generational shows with her
daughter Artist Felicia Jackson, and Grandson’s Evan and Phillip Hunt. She recently participated at an art show at the Denham Walker, LA gallery. Placed at the Arts in Medicine juried show at the Baton Rouge, Hospital Blue Bonnet. Her gift is Painting her passions are photography and digital arts. she has often managed to unite them all.
Elliott takes a special interest in encouraging and investing in others permission to express themselves through art. She believes that inspiring unlimited imagination, artistic creativity, and artistic self confidence in others is where her gift and passion intersect. She believes that “We are all artist, each of us has a creative gift, an artistic
fingerprint, most have just not identified or embraced it yet.”

Evan Hunt

Evan Hunt, (Evan the Artist), is a visual artist, drawing since the age of
seven. He is also a Maker, creating human figurines from found objects.
Hunt, is an avid cartoonist and professional photographer. He has written
novels, and created comic books with his twin brother Phillip Hunt for their
company GemStudios. Evan uses acrylics, pen and inks, and mixed-media
for his paintings and drawings. Hunt, is a member of the Baton Rouge
Youth Coalition and he is a professional photography where he graduated
in Photography and studied Coding as a student through the Walls Project.
Evan has shown his artwork in various events including a show that
showcased his work in a “Family Affair” and has participated in Mid-City
White Light and Hot Art Cool Nights. Recently he was a featured artist at
the Denham Springs Library.

Felicia Noelle

Felicia was introduced to art at an early age from her mother, Sharon Thomas. In 1990 she attended LA Valley College and Majored in English: Creative Writing. Her writing were described as "paintings in words." Later she enrolled at LSU and studied fine arts. She works in a plethora of mediums including pen and ink, acrylic, and water color. She is trained in print-making. Her works have won awards, have been featured on network TV (ABC's Luke Cage), as well as showcased in many buildings and galleries.

Student Artist from BRCC/LaFASA collaboration. Jacob is a is a freelance artist and designer based out of Baton Rouge. He began live painting events and concerts in 2012, and has painted at over one hundred private parties, concerts, and events since. Jacob has always loved creating, and the live work allows him to explore new ideas while simultaneously sharing those ideas with his audience. He is currently a returning student of art and design at Baton Rouge Community College. He was chosen to design this jacket and represent BRCC for LaFASA's Denim Day Event and Auction.

Phillip Hunt

Women's crop denim-wash jacket (size M / blue) brand NASKY
Phillip Hunt, aka (Bluewinder30,) is a local visual artist, painting and
drawing since the age of seven. He creates and sells origami creations and is also a prolific videographer with his own Bluewinder30 social medium channels on YouTube and Tic-Tok. Hunt, is a cartoonist and creative writer, creating novels independently, and comic books with his twin brother Evan Hunt under their artist company GemStudios. Hunt uses acrylics, pen and ink, and mixed-media for his paintings and drawings. He is a member of the Baton Rouge Youth Coalition, a Professional photographer graduate from The Futures Fund, where he also studied coding. Hun’ts artwork has been featured in various events including a show in a “Family Affair” Art show, Mid-City White Light and Hot Art Cool Nights. Recently he was a featured artist at the Denham Springs Library.

Ruth Stevens

Student Designer from BRCC/LaFASA collaboration. Originally from Selma, Alabama, Ruth is currently a student of art and design at Baton Rouge Community College. She was chosen to design this jacket and represent BRCC for LaFASA's Denim Day Event and Auction.
THIS IS A COMMUNITY COLLABORATION PROJECT WITH BATON ROUGE COMMUNITY COLLEGE! LaFASA is proud to work with up and coming artists in this manner.
