Wear jeans with a purpose

JOIN US FOR A FUN AND AMAZING CELEBRATION!   

Wherever you are you can play your part by wearing denim to support survivors of sexual assault.

We invite you to join us at our Denim Day event as we have a great time to raise awareness and raise funds to continue the fight against sexual assault in Louisiana.

Included with your ticket purchase will be a heavy hor d'oeurves, tea and wine, swag bag, simply amazing door prizes, live music by nationally recognized Taylor Nauta, a "step & repeat," and a walk on the denim carpet. An awesome fashion show with locally beloved personalities (see our models below) featuring the painted denim jackets will start at 7:15 . There will be an award ceremony at 7:50 to celebrate allies and advocates who work tirelessly to support survivors and in prevention and awareness. 

PRE-SALE TICKETS ARE $28.  / TICKETS AT THE DOOR ARE $35.

STUDENT TICKETS ARE $15.

Megan H. Kelly

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Megan Howard Kelly is a proud wife, and mom to three beautiful children. Megan is the founder and owner of MHK branding company. In addition to MHK, Megan is the founder and CEO of The Mompreneur Nation, Megan began her career as a TV producer and reporter for WAFB-TV. She's a passionate advocate and believes it's important to speak up and end the silence and stigma that surrounds domestic violence victims.

Dr. Rani Whitfield, a.k.a. "the Hip Hop Doc" is a Family Physician, is certified in Sports medicine and the recipient of numerous distinctions & awards. He uses music and medicine to educate the community on health and wellness. “I’m the husband of a gorgeous queen; son of a beautiful mother; brother of an elegant sister; and father of a stunning daughter! The mere thought of them being victims of sexual assault brings me to tears. I’m wearing denim today to raise awareness about sexual assault.

Lily Gayle

Lily Gayle

Lily is a 1st generation graduate from Hammond, La. Lily graduated undergrad at SLU with a Bachelor’s in Sports Journalism, and is a graduate student and assistant Sports Information Director for SLU women’s basketball & soccer. She was Miss SLU 2021 & is Miss Slidell 2023. She is a SA and suicide survivor who is passionate about educating others on the side effects of suicide attempts & the impact it has on victims, families and communities. She's a dog mom, football enthusiast & loves travel.

Jordyn Martin

Jordyn Martin

Jordyn Martin hails from Allentown, Pa. She lives in Baton Rouge with her husband Maxwell and their dog Huey. She is the communication manager for LSU’s Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College. She's LaFASA's Board VP, speaks locally to educate girls & women on issues related to HIV, is a CASA volunteer, and co-chair of Planned Parenthood Young Leaders in BR. “I’m walking to help people realize the power and importance of finding their voice and sharing their story.”

Franz Borghardt

Franz Borghardt

From working at the prestigious Steven J. Moore, Attorneys at Law to opening his own practice in 2017, Franz has represented the Baton Rouge community large and small for ten years. He is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards and recognitions and has published articles. On one side, he is a lawyer but he is also the founder of Geaux Rouge, an organization that celebrates the social, the cultural, artistic and culinary scenes of Baton Rouge.

Original Painted Denim Jackets

We are ecstatic to have amazing, local Louisiana artists. They have donated their talents to create one-of-a kind denim jackets that will be available only through our silent auction! Each jacket is signed by the artist. Win your favorite, original masterpiece and wear it all year long! Bidding starts Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 a.m. via "32 Auctions" and ends Saturday, April 29 at 12:00N. Artists will be Felicia Hunt, Maria Boudreaux, Design student contest winners from BRCC.
