Dear Mr./Mrs./Ms.
I am a student at (your school's name here). I would like to ask the school to recognize Denim Day Louisiana by allowing students to wear jeans on April 27, 2022. Denim Day is a worthy event to recognize because it promotes positive relationships and anti-violence. Denim Day is all about respect for others. Denim Day Louisiana is a statewide event and many schools in different parishes are being encouraged to participate. We can also use the event as an opportunity to raise money for (put here your local crisis center) by charging $1 per student. These centers support children and adults. There is a printable pin (add pin from previous page) students can wear that explains why standing up for others and wearing jeans is important. Thank you very much for your consideration. If you would like more information you can contact me through my teacher or I would encourage you to call the Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault at 225-372-8995 or visit www.lafasa.org.
